A Hidden Neighborhood Pilgrimage Walk (half day)
The Shikoku Pilgrimage is one of Japan’s most iconic pilgrimage routes, with a history spanning 1,200 years. One of its greatest attractions is the “walking pilgrimage,” which allows you to follow the route on foot while enjoying encounters with nature and local people along the way.
On this tour, you will visit Chikurinji Temple, the 31st temple on the pilgrimage route, and Sekkeiji Temple, the 33rd temple. With approximately 3.5 km of walking and a total elevation gain of around 120 m, the tour offers an accessible introduction to the Shikoku Pilgrimage, even for first-time visitors. Along the way, you can experience the history and spiritual culture of the pilgrimage while enjoying the beauty of nature, historic sites, and encounters with local people.

From there, we will walk approximately 2 km along the pilgrimage trail to Chikurin-ji Temple, the 31st temple on the Shikoku Pilgrimage, arriving around 10:30 a.m. After visiting the temple, we will take a taxi to the Tanezaki Ferry Terminal, arriving around 10:50 a.m.
