This is an e-bike tour that explores the natural and human geography as well as the food culture of the Reihoku region of Kochi. This tour will take you deep into the mountains and valleys of central Shikoku. While there you will witness the ageless beauty of the natural environment and the simple life of those who shape the mountains and reap their bountiful harvest.

Details of Tour / Activity
The tour begins at Tosa Sameura roadside station where you will meet your guide. Surrounded by rice fields and glorious mountains you will receive an easy tutorial on the use of your e-bike. E-bikes make any cycling journey a breeze, and even beginners can cruise effortlessly up mountain roads.
Once acquainted with your guide and bike, you will wind your way up narrow mountain roads to an overlook where you can see the beautiful Sameura valley with its amazing terraced rice fields laid out before you. You will continue up the valley, threading your way through timeless scenery. Along the way you will visit with a farming family. They will share some of their delicious and unique tomato Passata Rustica and tell you about life in the mountains. Descending back into the valley, you soon come to our lunch stop. You have seen the beauty of the terraced rice fields of Kochi, and now it is time to taste the bountiful produce of those fields. A delicious lunch of the local rice and produce will leave you satisfied and ready for a brief ride back to the starting point and the end of the tour.

-Please let us know your height when making your reservation for correct bicycle sizing.
-Please note that the number of bicycles is limited, so it may not be possible to have a bike that is exactly your size.
-This tour is available for English speaking guests.
-Payment may be made in advance through online payment or bank transfer.
-If heavy rain or strong winds are expected, the tour will be canceled and refunded (decision made the day before).
In the case of light rain, we will proceed with the tour.
