Kochi Prefecture has the highest drinking expenses in Japan. With such a large number of drinkers, Kochi's vibrant nightlife is one of its main attractions. In this tour, you can enjoy local delicacies, drinks, and interaction with local people.

The tour starts at Kochi's famous “Hirome Market." There are more than 60 stores, and many people enjoy visiting this market every day. While appreciating the local atmosphere, the guide will introduce you to some of his recommended stores. Recharge your energy for the trip.​

 

Japanese sake is made to be an excellent match with local ingredients and cuisine. Kochi is famous throughout Japan not only for drinking but also for sake production. The guide will carefully select and coordinate the best pairing of sake and cuisine from a number of excellent sake brands.

Matthew Bennett

Born in West Virginia, USA. He has visited Japan many times since he started working as a manager in a Japanese restaurant in Chicago. His first visit to Shikoku was to walk the famous Buddhist pilgrimage known as the Shikoku Ohenro. He fell in love with the people and culture of this wonderful land and returned three more times to walk the path, finally settling here eight years ago.

 

Matthew loves especially Kochi in Japan and knows many of the attractions that only locals can relate to. Kochi is also one of the most gastronomic cities in Japan. Matthew, an avid eater, will guide you on a drinking tour of Kochi, introducing you to some of the city's best eateries.

The first drink is included in the tour price.

*Seats will be reserved by going early  

*Orders after the above will be cash-on

You will be guided to the second and subsequent locations based on your preferences (examples below).

*After the second location, please pay by yourself (not included in the tour price).​
