This is a 5-hour tour visiting Kochi Castle and Yōhōji Temple with an English-speaking guide.
Kochi Castle, built over 400 years ago, is a must-see landmark for visitors to Kochi. After exploring Kochi Castle, you will visit Yōhōji Temple, which has deep historical ties to Kazutoyo Yamauchi, the feudal lord who constructed the castle.
At Yōhōji Temple—rarely visited by tourists—you will have the special opportunity to hear directly from the temple staff. You can also enjoy a matcha tea experience and a meditation session while overlooking the temple’s garden, which showcases beautiful seasonal scenery throughout the year.

Details of Tour / Activity
You will meet your guide at the Harimayabashi Tourist Bus Terminal, located in the center of Kochi City. A shuttle bus is available from Kochi New Port, where cruise ships dock.
After meeting your guide, you will walk to Kochi Castle. If you prefer, you may also travel by streetcar; however, the fare is at your own expense. Kochi Castle is considered the symbol of Kochi, and you will enter the main keep with your guide for a guided visit.
After the castle visit, it will be time for lunch. Your guide will be happy to recommend restaurants according to your preferences. Please note that lunch is not included and is at your own expense.
In the afternoon, you will visit Yoho-ji Temple for special experiences such as a talk by a temple representative, a matcha tea experience, and a meditation session. After the program, you will walk back to the Harimayabashi Tourist Bus Terminal, where the tour concludes.

-This tour is available for English speaking guests.
-Transportation from the meeting point (Harimayabashi Tourist Bus Terminal) is on foot. If you prefer to use the streetcar or a taxi, please pay the fare directly.
-Lunch is not included in the tour price. Your guide can recommend suitable restaurants upon request; payment is at your own expense.
-Due to temple scheduling, there are occasional dates when visits cannot be accommodated. We will confirm availability with the temple and advise you once we receive your booking inquiry.
-Sweets are served during the matcha experience. If you have dietary restrictions, please inform us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you.
-Payment may be made in advance through online payment or bank transfer.
